  • Recommended for welding 3003, 3004, 5052, 6061, 6063 and casing alloys 43, 355, 356 and 214.

Key Benefits:

  • 5% Silicon Aluminum filler metal that is available in spools for MIG or TIG welding processes
    ▪ Has a melting range of 1065° - 1170°F and a density of 0.097 lb./cu in.
    ▪ The post tint is gray.

Application:

  • Used as a general-purpose brazing allow providing a free-flowing filler metal and good corrosion resistance.

  • Recommended for welding or brazing aluminum alloy: 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6061, 6951, 7005 and cast alloys 710.0 and 711.0.

  • 12% Silicon Aluminum filler metal that is available in spools for MIG or TIG welding processes.

  • Has an approximately melting range of 1070 – 1080°F and the post anodizing color tint is grayish-black.

Application:

  • Commonly used on marine components, drilling rigs, cryogenics, railroad cars, storage tanks and unfired pressure vessels.
    Base metals commonly welded include 5083, 5086 and 5456 to similar base metals or to 5052, 5652 and 5056.

Key Benefits:

  • Aluminum filler metal which contains alloying elements 4.3-5.0% Magnesium, 0.5-1.0% Maganese as well as Chromium and Titanium.

  • The post-anodizing color tint is white

  • Approximately melting range is 1075°-1180°F and the average tensile strength as welded is 41,000 psi.

Application:

  • Common applications would be base metals 5050, 5052, 5083, 5356, 5454 and 5456.

Characteristics: 

  • 5% Magnesium Aluminum filler metal that is available in spools for MIG or TIG welding processes.

  • Alloy offers much better corrosion resistance when exposed to salt water.

  • Tensile strength average is 38,000 psi.

  • The post anodizing color tint is white.

  • Diameter in MIG Wires: 0.8mm, 0.9mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.6mm.

  • Diameter in TIG Wires: 1.2mm, 1.6mm, 2.4mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm, 4.8mm.

Application:

  • Used to weld base material types 5454 and 5456.

  • All inert gas processes, electron beam and oxyfuel gas welding processes can be used.

Key Benefits:

  • Can hold up under sustained elevated temperatures exceeding 150°F, therefore resistant to stress corrosion cracking.

  • Melting range is 1155-1195°F and its density is 0.97 lbs/ci.

  • The post anodizing color tint is white.
